History of Black's Frame Shop

I would like to briefly introduce myself.  My name is Jim Black.  Some
call me 'Jimmy". We have recently opened Black's Frame Shop..

Growing up my Grandfather owned Black's Frame Shop in Abilene, TX. with picture framing and specialty art supplies.  I grew up with the business and always had this feeling that it would play a big part in my life.

I ended up inheriting my Grandfather's shop.  I set it up in my home and have been framing as a hobby ever since in hopes of one day opening my own business. 

My plan was to retire early from my job in Industrial Sales and be able to
create custom frames in early retirement and beyond.  

Well, early retirement came sooner than expected.  I was recently laid off as part of a large cut by the company I was working for.  So, I have decided to open the business now.                     

Since inheriting my Grandfather's business I have purchased two more frame shops.  I now have all the latest equipment and materials necessary to produce a quality custom frame to enhance, protect and conserve all works of art.
